First name: Mortis
Given name(s): Phillipa Schnorhavorian
Surname: Grievance
Age: Older than 100 (Was in his late 20's or early 30's towards the start of the war against Mevolent)
Date of birth: July 15th.
Race: White Irish
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Homosexual
Current residence: Varied. Mortis travels and tends not to stick to one place for very long, but he does have a house he technically owns with Jayden Slander and Richard Sloth that has been a little damaged in fights.
Relationship status: In a relationship
Social status: Unknown

Traits of Voice

Accent (if any): Irish, non-specific
Language spoken: English
Other languages known: Likely fluent in other languages
Style of speaking: Harsh tone, a slightly growling quality to his voice. Mortis tends to speak his mind, though his thought process is twisted.
Volume of voice: Medium-low

Physical Appearance

Height: 5'3 (Well, I view him as shorter than Garnet, Ricky and Jayden. In fact, I view him as coming up to about chin-height on Jayden, though I have changed this height order many times. On the Mevolent Collaboration I listed Garnet as the shortest and Mortis as the tallest.)
Weight: 105 lbs
Eye colour: Brown
Skin colour: Pale white
Shape of face: Idk
Distinguishing features: None specifically come to mind, besides being pale and small of stature.
Build of body: Slim-skinny
Hair colour: Black
Hair style: Long, usually tied back in a ponytail.
Complexion: Clear
Posture: Normal
Tattoos: None
Piercings: None
Typical clothing: I suppose he would normally wear black. Black trousers, long-sleeved black shirt, black jacket, black shoes. When he's feeling especially bloodthirsty, he wears his hair up with a mustard yellow ribbon. Mortis has a visual impairment requiring corrective lenses, however he prefers using contact lenses.
Is seen by others as: Mortis is viewed by a lot who meet him as insane, strange, creepy, scary and dangerous as all hell. He is able to show a slightly less crazy and somewhat nicer side to those close to him, such as Garnet and Jayden. Surprisingly good with children despite disliking them.

Personality

Likes: Knives, killing people, causing others pain, the tuba, ice cream, death, human biology, playing music, hugs from Jayden, pizza, theatre and concerts
Dislikes: Jayden and Garnet failing to get up in the morning, off-key singing, anything related in any way to crocodiles and crocodiles themselves, wearing glasses, the beach, hugs from Garnet, squirrels, the colour pink, small children, older children, people in general
Education: Unknown
Fears: Unknown, though he is known to be uncomfortable when it comes to riding in a car or similar vehicle following a crash he was involved in. He is also known to be afraid of Franz Ransom.
Personal goals: Probably something to do with killing people, or killing crocodiles, I don't know. He honestly isn't driven by much other than killing and drifting through life on his own terms as I see it.
General attitude: Harsh and moody, cruel, generally tends to brush people off and can fly off the handle. He believes in constant vigilance and tends to test himself and others, especially in survival and combat skills. Can be very excitable and also rather childlike in both said excitement and his reaction to things when upset. There's like a 50/50 chance how he'll react when unhappy. It's either crazy murderer who is dangerous as hell but calculating and totally with it at the same time, like he is still intelligently thinking everything through, possibly even more closely due to his mood, or he'll go into a childish sulk and/or shut down. Depends massively on what's upset him and the second option is reserved for social upsets between him and his friends/boyfriend.
Religious values: Unknown. Though he is a Necromancer, he notably has no interest or belief in the religious side of the Necromancy teachings.
General intelligence: High
General sociability: Low

Health

Illnesses (if any): None known, though he has had a liver transplant in the past.
Allergies (if any): None known but I do want him to have an allergy of some kind.
Sleeping habits: Mortis is a very light sleeper and the slightest sound can awaken him and put him on high alert. He can, however, fall asleep pretty much anywhere. Doesn't even need to be remotely comfy.
Energy level: Moderate
Eating habits: Mortis is a bit of a fussy eater, and when observing targets for murder he will refuse food and drink in favour of watching the target obsessively.
Memory: Excellent
Any unhealthy habits: Tends not to take breaks when observing targets for food, water, sleep or toilet breaks, which can leave him in...well, not the best state, shall we say?

History

Birth country: Ireland
Hometown: Unspecified
Childhood: Mortis was born Phillipa Schnorhavorian after a slight mix-up with his twin sister, Phelan, and their birth certificates. He grew up pretty much hating his parents immensely. Additionally, he never got on with his sister, and while she retained the belief that they were close as siblings, he despised her more than anyone else he had ever met in his life. It was she who first found out about magic, as both were raised in mortal surroundings, and she introduced him to magic as well, including introducing him to Aleron Hadrian. Mortis began training as a Necromancer under Aleron, interested heavily in death-based magic.
Teen years: Through currently unknown means, Mortis is introduced to Zebulon Regicide, and the two become friends. Mortis takes on his taken name and searches for an object of power he will be content with, and eventually decides on a knife, as it will still be usable if his magic should fail. Zebulon refers him to a man named Franz Ransom, who will do favours for favours, however Franz' favour in question is always either thoroughly unpleasant or intensely sexual. Despite the risks involved, Mortis gets Franz to make him an excessive amount of powerful and unique weapons. He then steals an ornate athame knife that Franz considered to be of great sentimental value and steals away before he can demand the return of either the favour or the knife. This athame knife becomes his object of power, and he names it Wilbur.
Adult years: Mortis hits the surge. Still strongly hating his sister, Mortis invites her on a holiday to Australia, set up by Regicide. Regicide tips Felicity (the sister) off about Mortis' ill intentions, and when he goes to kill her, she is ready. She flees from him and just as he is about to kill her, she is instead killed by a crocodile. From this point on, Mortis has a violent grudge against crocodiles and anything linked to them. Regicide then infuriates him by leading Franz Ransom straight to him. He barely escapes with his life, but managing to figure out what his former friend has done, Mortis decides to exact his revenge. Unfortunately, two other men (Jayden Slander and Garnet Dorado) also go after Regicide, and get in his way. He meets Garnet again shortly after when they once again go after the same target, however, this time, Mortis shares the information he has learned about the target and the two formulate a plan. From this point on, they work as partners staging elaborate murders until the war against Mevolent starts up. Mortis sees this as a golden opportunity to kill and strategise without getting in trouble for it, and despite his wild and violent nature, he fits right in. During a strategy meeting, he is reunited with Jayden Slander, and accidentally blurts that he thinks he is attractive. The two start flirting and eventually become a couple. When cars become a thing, Mortis learns to drive with ease, but is one day involved in a collision that causes his vehicle to roll. He is badly injured and found by Dorado and Ricky Sloth, who heal him. He introduces the two of them to Jayden, keeping it a secret that they are a couple until the two find out for themselves. Thankfully, there is little friction despite the time. He is both annoyed and flattered by Garnet's fussing over his health. He is bitterly upset when Garnet falls ill, even threatening Ricky when the healer states he is unable to help him. Mortis continues to stage murders with the assistance of Jayden and Ricky, however, when their target starts a fire to separate them, Mortis believes Ricky to have been killed.
Past places of residence: None known
History of family: Unknown

Relationships

Parents: Little is known about them, though they don't appear to be the brightest of people.
Siblings: He has a twin sister named Felicity Insouciant. He despises her without reservation. She's dead now. He still hates her.
Any enemies (and why): Zebulon Regicide, for ruining his plans and intentionally putting him in mortal danger. Felicity Insouciant, as someone who simply always grated on his nerves. Franz Ransom, who essentially wants to kill him or at least torture the hell out of him for stealing his most precious possession and 'tainting' it with death magic. Dexter Vex, for unknown reasons, he and Garnet tried to kill him but failed and were forced to retreat in disgrace. Pretty much anyone to have ever followed Mevolent. Faeris Wile (briefly)
Children: None.
Friends: Zebulon Regicide (formerly), Aleron Hadrian, a necromancer who trained him. Jayden Slander, Garnet Dorado and Ricky Sloth.
Best friend(s): Most definitely Garnet Dorado. Garnet is the most professional killer he has worked with and the one he gets on best with, as Garnet makes no attempt to hold him back (unlike Jayden and Ricky, who are all 'kill less guys', which annoys him to no end).
Important friends/relatives (explain): I suppose Felicity for introducing him to magic. Maybe Ricky for saving his life and Aleron for tutoring him.
Love interest (if there is one): Jayden Slander

Combat

Peaceful or violent: Violent
Weapon (if applicable): A wide array of assorted knives, blades, etc. Also shadows, since because Necromancy.
Style of fighting: Despite his aptitude for strategising and planning, Mortis is very much a stab first think later kind of guy. He will stroll in and plunge his knife in, but never in a fatal place. No, Mortis likes to draw out his victim's agony as long as possible. He rarely spreads masses of gore, and the main time he has done this after learning how to kill without doing so has been immediately after a major traumatising event.

Others

Occupation: Unemployed, serial killer.
Favourite types of food: Pizza and ice cream
Favourite types of drink: Probably something with ice in.
Hobbies/past times: Killing people and torturing them to death, playing his tuba, listening to music.
Pet peeves: Touchy-feely people, people who try to preach when they aren't much better
Pets: None
Talents: Strategising, killing people, playing music, squeezing through tight spaces
Favourite colours: Possibly black.
Favourite type of music: I have no idea. It is stated that his favourite song is 'I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles', the 1919 version or Beasts by Slow Moving Millie (two separate occasions where the favourite has changed over time)

  1. This is kind of late, and I might have said it before(?) but you can specify whatever you need to about Mortis. You've done a lot more with him than I have.

    1. Yeah, you've said it before, and I mostly think it's an anxiety disorder thing that actively prevents me from going ahead and doing so, but it might be a case of me wanting to keep him shared. It sounds ridiculous but I actually feel guilty that I've done so much more with him. Idk maybe it feels like I've taken control or something. I tend to do that a bit much in a lot of situations. Again, though, it's probably an anxiety thing...
