Childhood: Born as the eldest child to a couple in Alabama. A few years after his sister was born, his parents stated they no longer wanted him and placed him in the care of his grandfather. They kept Katy. His grandfather lived in poverty. He met Rose, who at the time was called Wilt Renee-Nissen.
Teen years: Going through puberty, Chester found he was pansexual (or rather not heterosexual, and figured the exact label at a much later date). He was bullied for it and his grandfather found out via this bullying, subsequently turfing him out before he'd even finished middle school. Chester attempted suicide only to be found and saved by Katy. He was taken to a youth scheme that helps depressed children and shortly after, he was moved to California so he could attend a high school his bullies would not attend. Here, he met Tremayne and talked him down from suicide, becoming his friend. He brought him to the California branch of the youth group and got him into music and writing. They later met Hien, Tony and Bella through one of the volunteers at the scheme, Hien's uncle. They started the band Dark Pulse, where Chester took on the stage name 'The Forsaken', and they played a few local places that would allow them. They were noticed by a talent spotter, and during their subsequent travels and gigs, Chester was put back in touch with Rose.
Adult years: Chester continued working with Dark Pulse but also became a powerful fighter for human rights.

History of family: It is known that his mother, Roanne McCain nee Dineen, came from a very poor family, and that as a result she believed nothing was more important than hard work and that nobody would help you when you're down. There appears to be a family history of mental illness.

Relationships

Parents: Roanne and Klay McCain abandoned him when young, claiming to favour his younger sister. He was raised by his grandfather, Nicolas Dineen, who he was at first very close to until his homophobia caused him to outcast Chester.
Siblings: Katy McCain. The two are very close. Chester owes Katy his life. He is slightly miffed that Katy is dating Tremayne.
