In adulthood, this develops into cancer.

Childhood: Raphael was the third child born to Daniel and Hina Kenelm, a halfblood couple (his father being a muggle and his mother a witch). He got on fairly well with his elder brother and sister and is not very well acquainted with his father, as his parents split up before Hina realised she was pregnant. She had been cheating on Daniel with another man, who she convinced was Raphael's father (though it soon became clear he wasn't.) Aside from this and the slight deformity in his leg, Raphael grew up with a fairly normal childhood. He was diagnosed with epilepsy at age 12, and at age 10 was accepted into Hogwarts, where he was sorted into Hufflepuff house, where he befriends various other students, being a person who is easy to get on with.
Teen years: Raphael develops a near-obsessive crush on Slytherin student Henrietta 'Hettie' Bartley, a good friend of his. He does not act on this crush, fully aware that if he did so he would likely come off as creepy and obsessed. He finds little interest in other women and in fact does not find himself sexually attracted to anyone else at all. He does not worry about this but also does not bring it up with his friends. Little significant events occur throughout his school years (Most of my OCs automatically attend in the era between the Golden Trio and Next gen). Towards the end of his years in Hogwarts he sees Hettie get with first a boy he knows little about (another Slytherin) and then one of his best friends. He enters into a romantic relationship with another girl in his year briefly but finds himself unable to invest in the relationship. At some point in his seventh year, another Hufflepuff student who was suffering from leukaemia dies, and Raph discovers the body. For a time after this, he suffers with nightmares. After this, he develops a tumour in his brain which causes his epilepsy medication to be less effective. Despite this, he is able to pass his NEWTs.
Adult years: Raphael remains unemployed, but remains in contact with his friends. He meets with Hettie after being allowed into her home by her brother after a drunken night out and finds out she is no longer dating Seth. They arrange a couple of outings and eventually become an exclusive couple. They marry and have two sons. Some time after this, Raphael's tumour becomes cancerous. It is caught late and he is marked as terminal. He dies at a young age.

History of family: Raphael comes from a Jewish family. It is known that his mother and step-father are both pureblooded.

Siblings: He has two siblings. The eldest is a sister named Galilah, followed by a brother named Azriel. He gets on well with them, though he sometimes complains that Galilah is annoying. He feels Azriel has a very cool job. He has several half-siblings. Jeremiah, who he dislikes as Jeremiah is very lustful. Chaim, who he dislikes as Chaim will not do anything for others without a cash incentive (which Chaim actually insists is to pay for innovative treatment for Azriel and Raphael's illnesses), Joel, who Raph sees as sweet and fun to be around but who is one of the worst offenders of stealing his stuff, Rachel, who he sees as a tattle-tale, Boaz, who often mocks others, Lewana, who is especially affectionate and Rebecca, who likes playing with Raph's hair.

Children: Barney Bartley and Ira Bartley, his two sons conceived with Hettie. They are both very young when he dies.

Bendix Gammaleil, Balthasar's brother who is very into rigorous exercise. Rokuro Salinger, a Slytherin student with a mix of anxiety and anger issues. Cyrano De La Cruz, a Gryffindor student who tends to flirt relentlessly with female students to mask his homosexuality. Paine De La Coste, a Ravenclaw student and vampire. Rosebury Costiel, a Gryffindor student with anxiety and IBS who likes wearing women's clothing. Seth Hawthorne, a Slytherin student and ex boyfriend of Hettie. Hettie Bartley, a Slytherin student who openly flaunts her bad habits. Aspen Blunt, Raph's ex towards whom he felt no attraction, romantic or sexual.
