Any unhealthy habits: Garnet is a heavy smoker.

History

Birth country: Ireland
Hometown: Unspecified
Childhood: Garnet, or Dylan, was part of a large family, with six brothers and sisters. He was the second youngest and got on fairly well with his elder brother, however, members of his family were prone to sickness, physical and mental. Often, when their parents were unable to care for them, his grandfather stepped up to assist.
Teen years: Dylan met a girl who he became strongly infatuated with. Essentially stalking her, he found out about magic and insisted she teach him about it. Reluctantly, she agrees, stating that if he can't get a hang of things, she has every right to wipe his memory of everything he's just seen. He takes quickly to elemental magic, with a focus on the earth element.
Adult years: He takes on the name Garnet Dorado and stays in touch with the woman he first met. He is pulled out of the world of magic when his parents' health deteriorates to the point where they need him home to look after them. One of his sisters, who is also ill, attempts one night to kill the other sickly members of the family and herself, dragging Garnet and his last healthy family member into the resulting fight. Garnet ends up killing his sister and finds his brother is also a low-level elemental. After all that was cleared up, they moved away and vowed to protect one another, though our buddy here found he really liked killing people. He started going out and targeting random people to kill, which led him to meeting Ricky Sloth when he broke into some kind of medical facility to target someone. They saved one another from imminent death, and Garnet brought his new friend home, using him as a makeshift medic and ensuring he got help for his own problems. Both men were away from the house when Garnet's brother was killed, but both saw Zebulon Regicide fleeing the scene and assumed (correctly) that he was the murderer. Despite Ricky's objections, Garnet tracks Regicide down and tries to kill him. Two other men (Mortis Grievance and Jayden Slander) also arrive to kill the same target, and the three get in each other's way, allowing the target to get away with his life. He is scolded spectacularly for this by both Mortis and Ricky. He continues to track down Regicide and eventually is successfully able to kill him. It is suggested he is already still in contact with Mortis at this point, and they are going around staging elaborate murders together, becoming very close friends. He plays no part in the war against Mevolent, wishing to stay well out of it. Because Mortis fights in the war, they lose major contact until the Necromancer is involved in a road traffic collision and is subsequently found unconscious and badly injured by Garnet and Ricky. They save him and are introduced by him to Jayden Slander. Until he falls ill, Garnet takes on a sort of den mother role around the other three, possibly because he is in fact the eldest, and then after a cancer scare, he decides to go on a long holiday. He does not contact his friends again for a long time after.

Any unhealthy habits: He is a chain smoker. In the past, Richard abusively used opiates.

History

Birth country: England
Hometown: Epsom
Childhood: Richard was raised in a sorcerer family, but his mother was young and unmarried, and was deeply ashamed of him. She tried to hide him from those around her, and, focusing so much on not being found out and not seeming to really love her son, he sought to escape her. He was eventually discovered and taken in by his uncle.
Teen years: Richard's uncle trained him in magic. Interested in medicine as a whole and the idea of helping heal others, Richard leaned towards science magic. His uncle dislikes this choice, having hoped Richard would choose the same magic type as him, but helps him anyway.
Adult years: Richard hits the surge at age 23. His magic is not powerful or anything special and he struggles to find his niche. He struggles with work and relationships as well and develops depression. He actively distances himself from those still there for him, completely isolating himself, and turns to opiate abuse. It is the resulting addiction that causes him to first meet Garnet Dorado, primarily because Richard begins stealing to supply the addiction. They both attempt to hit the same place (with Garnet planning a murder), and both inadvertently save each others' lives. Richard is brought to Garnet's house, where he acts as a doctor to him and his brother, while he becomes a highly supportive friend to the healer and helps him with his addiction. Ricky accidentally gets Garnet smoking in the process. When Garnet's brother dies, Ricky becomes a rock of support, and tries to convince Garnet not to go out for revenge. He is unsuccessful. Later, he meets Mortis Grievance when the psychopath is involved in a car accident where he rolls away from the road and is found by Garnet and Ricky. Ricky heals him up and subsequently is dragged into Mortis and Garnet's killing regime. When Garnet finds out about his tumour, he ducks out of the organised killing thing for a time just to relax and make the most of things. Mortis leaves Ricky alone when they both get caught in a fire and both believe the other to have died, and he instead fits himself in with Carmichael Hauter and Benedict Electrolytic, who are much more within the law. They introduce him to his first wife (as well as him meeting Hiro Phantasmagoria, Indishan Anonymous and Ursa Borealis through them), however she, not understanding depression, is disgusted when he relapses into it. They have four children before they divorce. It is when trying to track down Hiro Phantasmagoria, believing he is in danger, that he meets his second wife. Again, their marriage does not last.
Past places of residence: Unknown
History of family: Unknown, though it is suggested they felt their social standing to be important.

Relationships

Parents: He has never met his father. His mother was a young, unmarried woman who quite likely suffered from postnatal depression.
Siblings: None known. It is very likely he has half-siblings.
Any enemies (and why): Zebulon Regicide, Mortis Grievance (briefly) and Arachne Basilisk, two because they are the dickish enemies of his friends and one because he is a scary mo-fo. He currently has no known enemies specific to him. He does not get on well with Esra Sunshine's associates.
Children: He has 4 children with his first wife and 3 with his second. Kathleen, Ely, Gretchen and Jenna are his first wife's children, and Callista, Randall and Jesus are his second wife's children. He hasn't much contact with his children as a rule, but will pay child support and buy gifts on birthdays and holidays. None of these children have so far been exposed to magic regardless of whether their mother is a mage or not.

History

Birth country: Uganda (Recent decision, randomised. As I said above, I had no set origins for him.)
Hometown: Unknown
Childhood: Jayden and his brother, Zebulon, were raised in a magical family, being taught to use magic and discovering both of them had quite a natural talent for it. The two of them were urged to follow a particular magic type in keeping with their family, and to take names fitting a particular theme, but both seemed to dislike this idea and instead separated off.
Teen years: Jayden accidentally found himself involved with The Children of the Spider. Finding the idea of such a magic discipline to be interesting and very useful, as many people are afraid of spiders, he becomes part of this group while his brother gets involved with Necromancy. Jayden becomes reclusive and takes on his name at an unknown time.
Adult years: Jayden marries and has two children with another child of the spider. His brother, meanwhile, has been driven pretty much insane and kills their parents. Then, Zebulon enrages Jayden immensely by killing his wife and children, joking that he never really liked him and was offended on a personal level when he became a recluse. Jayden vows to kill Zebulon, but his attempts fail when two others with a grudge against him turn up and get in his way. Jayden tries to plan another revenge attempt, only for someone else to kill Zebulon first. Furious, he instead takes his anger out on a blooming war, taking the side against Mevolent, where he works closely with Mortis Grievance. The two flirt with each other and eventually become a couple. Jayden reluctantly began to follow Mortis and Garnet around killing people.

Hiro Phantasmagoria

Fandom: Skulduggery Pleasant

General Information

First name: Hiro
Given name(s): Thatch Ellard
Surname: Phantasmagoria
Age: 52
Date of birth: June 20th
Race: Eurasian
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Demisexual
Current residence: Dublin
Relationship status: Married (Though he tends to ensure nobody around him knows this)
Social status: Middle class

Traits of Voice

Accent (if any): English
Language spoken: English
Other languages known: German, Portuguese, Chinese, Czech, Japanese, Norwegian
Style of speaking: Hiro is very much the strong and silent type. He prefers to stand in the background, looking intimidating. When he does speak, he changes his style depending on the kind of people he is with. With other sorcerers, his voice has little emotion put into it, and he tends to be very demanding and unkind, freely insulting anyone he comes across, even his friends. With his family and neighbours, he is more cheerful and tends to be good-natured and jokey.
Volume of voice: Low

Physical Appearance

Height: 5'8
Weight: 160 lbs
Eye colour: Dark brown
Skin colour: Fair
Shape of face: -
Distinguishing features:
Build of body: Athletic
Hair colour: Black
Hair style: Messy and unkempt, possibly gelled into an unruly mess.
Complexion: Clear
Posture: Straight
Tattoos: None
Piercings: None
Typical clothing: Hiro is almost always seen in a long, light purple coat and jeans. What he wears beneath the coat can vary between a suit shirt or a baggy hoodie or really anything, as long as it doesn't get bloody. He wears several silver rings on both hands, including a plain silver wedding ring.
Is seen by others as: Cold and heartless, a vicious psychopath or sociopath, selfish and cruel (to mages), smart and friendly, professional, good with kids and romantic (to mortals).

Personality

Likes: Magical artifacts, silver jewellery, scented candles and incense, bladed weapons, theatre
Dislikes: Soap bubbles, prawns, lectures (giving or receiving of), being woken in the middle of the night, needles, idiots meddling with things they don't understand.
Education: High school graduate
Fears: Needles and injections, spiders
Personal goals: To become a powerful sorcerer, to protect his children from harm, to build an extensive collection of magical artifacts.
General attitude: Depends on who he's around. With other sorcerers, Hiro gives the outward appearance of a cold and uncaring person, and numbs himself to what is going on around him. He is selfish and his mind is set on a track. Around his wife, children and people he doesn't have to watch himself around lest he be killed, rather than numbed, he is more on-edge. In both circumstances, he has things to hide, but with his family, outwardly, he can relax more. Nobody poses them a threat as far as he knows, so he is relaxed and generally in a good mood and a gentle and lenient parent.
Religious values: Athiest
General intelligence: Fairly high
General sociability: Low. Even when he's playing the role of your friendly neighbourhood dude, he doesn't like interacting with others much.

Health

Illnesses (if any): Asthma
Allergies (if any): Pollen and bees
Sleeping habits: Hiro will often catch sleep where and when he can, but it's not unusual for him to stay up long enough to completely exhaust himself when on a trail. He doesn't often manage a good night's sleep due to his lifestyle and his young children.
Energy level: Moderate
Eating habits: Again, Hiro will make do with what is available. His diet mostly consists of fatty snacks and shop sandwiches.
Memory: Hiro has a fair memory and gets very angry when he forgets something important.
Any unhealthy habits: Hiro tends to push himself beyond his limits and ends up in the office of his medical friend more times than he can remember. If he gets an enemy's blood on his fingers or weapon, he does tend to lick it off.

History

Birth country: England
Hometown: Telford
Childhood: Hiro was raised in a fairly normal Mortal family, blissfully unaware that his brother was also living a double life at the time. Born Thatch Ellard, he was very much the outwardly cheerful and friendly person he still displays in the mortal world. He was overweight as a child and teased badly for it, leaving him to be somewhat insecure about his body.
Teen years: Thatch began fighting back against the bullying, which caused him to be briefly suspended from school. When he returned, he was groomed and subsequently abused by one of his teachers, though, as by this point he had built up a reputation as a delinquent, almost nobody believed him. His elder brother's dealings in magic endangered Thatch and his younger sister, causing them to be kidnapped and attacked. He remembers little of what happened afterwards, but there were a lot of people he didn't recognise. Thatch displayed his own aptitude with magic within this altercation, and far from being deterred, he found the world of magic as the perfect opportunity to become strong enough to defend himself and his sister. He took the name Hiro Phantasmagoria and built up his abilities by instinct. Towards the beginnings of his adult years, Hiro chooses to study a mix of theatre and magic abroad, the latter to help him understand exactly what he's capable of. Instead of using this research to structure his own abilities (as was his original intention), however, he instead uses it to learn about the possible weaknesses of others and of the structure of the magical world itself.
Adult years: Hiro studies magic in Ireland, centering himself in Dublin. He slowly develops his obsession with magical artifacts and starts to research them and their whereabouts. This research is what brings him into contact with Esra Sunshine (a highly experienced science magic user Hiro will often go to when injured), Indishan Anonymous (an Australian detective who will turn a blind eye to the others' misdeeds as long as they are abroad), Ursa Borealis (An enemy of Indishan and an experienced killer) and Carmichael Hauter (Another collector of interesting artifacts and a necromancer). With this group, he travels to Germany to get his hands on a particular item. By this point, Hiro has already established himself as a murderer and a dangerous criminal. Only when in Germany does he hit the surge. He meets a mortal woman on his travels that he builds a strong bond with, becoming a pen pal under his mortal name and slowly finding himself attracted to. She comes to visit him in Ireland several times and eventually they start dating and then marry. Hiro actively hides this relationship from every sorcerer he knows and equally hides every sign of magic from his wife, Manuela. With extensive links in both worlds, he becomes an information broker, trading for either the items he craves, other information or a large sum of money. He still goes around killing people for the same three things.
Past places of residence: Dorsten, Germany.
History of family: Unknown.

Relationships

Parents: His parents were rather hands-of, but tended not to believe what Hiro told them. He did not trust them much.
Siblings: He has two, an older brother and a younger sister. His brother is also a sorcerer.
Any enemies (and why): The teacher who abused him. Scarlett Discord, a sorcerer who hates letting criminals have a free reign. Jasmin Orage, a detective with whom Hiro has clashed in the past. Arachne Basilisk and Daemon Scaroe, who also have a strong interest in magical artifacts. Kelpsie Repine, simply due to a personality clash. Garnet Dorado, after a violent clash likely involving Ursa or Esra. Possibly Myron Stray and China Sorrows.
Children: Macey, aged 7, Cicely, aged 4 and Mimi, aged 2. Hiro cares about them deeply and often feels bad when he goes out knowing he'll be going into a dangerous situation. Hiro hopes his daughters never find out about magic, as he knows how dangerous it can be. (In one piece I wrote that he has 6 children, so for now we shall say that at age 52 he has these three, but may have more in future.) Hiro wishes to have a son.
Friends: Possibly Esra Sunshine, Ursa Borealis, Indishan Anonymous, Carmichael Hauter, Benedict Electrolytic and Richard Sloth. He has a few Mortal friends as well.
Best friend(s): He appears to be fairly close to Richard Sloth despite being a known killer. Possibly Carmichael Hauter.
Important friends/relatives (explain): None specifically come to mind.
Love interest (if there is one): Manuela Baader

Combat

Peaceful or violent: Violent
Weapon (if applicable): A double-bladed scythe
Style of fighting: Going in swinging, whatever sheds the most blood.

Others

Occupation: Information Broker
Favourite types of food: Anything with mint.
Favourite types of drink: Coffee
Hobbies/past times: Collecting artifacts and jewellery, watching theatre, making waffles, taking long drives.
Guilty pleasures: -
Pet peeves: People who make ridiculous amounts of noise when exercising, the phrase 'blonde moment', clicking pens.
Pets: A gerbil.
Talents: Cooking, painting and sketching, supposedly acting, judging by his ability to come off as two completely different people. Hiro's magic type appears to be some kind of sensitive ability that causes hallucinations and intense feelings of fear.
Favourite colours: Purple
Favourite type of music: Classical.

Volume of voice: Medium-low

Physical Appearance

Height: 5'3 (Well, I view him as shorter than Garnet, Ricky and Jayden. In fact, I view him as coming up to about chin-height on Jayden, though I have changed this height order many times. On the Mevolent Collaboration I listed Garnet as the shortest and Mortis as the tallest.)
Weight: 105 lbs
Eye colour: Brown
Skin colour: Pale white
Shape of face: Idk
Distinguishing features: None specifically come to mind, besides being pale and small of stature.
Build of body: Slim-skinny
Hair colour: Black
Hair style: Long, usually tied back in a ponytail.

General attitude: Harsh and moody, cruel, generally tends to brush people off and can fly off the handle. He believes in constant vigilance and tends to test himself and others, especially in survival and combat skills. Can be very excitable and also rather childlike in both said excitement and his reaction to things when upset. There's like a 50/50 chance how he'll react when unhappy. It's either crazy murderer who is dangerous as hell but calculating and totally with it at the same time, like he is still intelligently thinking everything through, possibly even more closely due to his mood, or he'll go into a childish sulk and/or shut down. Depends massively on what's upset him and the second option is reserved for social upsets between him and his friends/boyfriend.
Religious values: Unknown. Though he is a Necromancer, he notably has no interest or belief in the religious side of the Necromancy teachings.
General intelligence: High
General sociability: Low

Health

Illnesses (if any): None known, though he has had a liver transplant in the past.
Allergies (if any): None known but I do want him to have an allergy of some kind.
Sleeping habits: Mortis is a very light sleeper and the slightest sound can awaken him and put him on high alert. He can, however, fall asleep pretty much anywhere. Doesn't even need to be remotely comfy.
Energy level: Moderate
Eating habits: Mortis is a bit of a fussy eater, and when observing targets for murder he will refuse food and drink in favour of watching the target obsessively.
Memory: Excellent
Any unhealthy habits: Tends not to take breaks when observing targets for food, water, sleep or toilet breaks, which can leave him in...well, not the best state, shall we say?

History

Birth country: Ireland
Hometown: Unspecified
Childhood: Mortis was born Phillipa Schnorhavorian after a slight mix-up with his twin sister, Phelan, and their birth certificates. He grew up pretty much hating his parents immensely. Additionally, he never got on with his sister, and while she retained the belief that they were close as siblings, he despised her more than anyone else he had ever met in his life. It was she who first found out about magic, as both were raised in mortal surroundings, and she introduced him to magic as well, including introducing him to Aleron Hadrian. Mortis began training as a Necromancer under Aleron, interested heavily in death-based magic.
Teen years: Through currently unknown means, Mortis is introduced to Zebulon Regicide, and the two become friends. Mortis takes on his taken name and searches for an object of power he will be content with, and eventually decides on a knife, as it will still be usable if his magic should fail. Zebulon refers him to a man named Franz Ransom, who will do favours for favours, however Franz' favour in question is always either thoroughly unpleasant or intensely sexual. Despite the risks involved, Mortis gets Franz to make him an excessive amount of powerful and unique weapons. He then steals an ornate athame knife that Franz considered to be of great sentimental value and steals away before he can demand the return of either the favour or the knife. This athame knife becomes his object of power, and he names it Wilbur.
Adult years: Mortis hits the surge. Still strongly hating his sister, Mortis invites her on a holiday to Australia, set up by Regicide. Regicide tips Felicity (the sister) off about Mortis' ill intentions, and when he goes to kill her, she is ready. She flees from him and just as he is about to kill her, she is instead killed by a crocodile. From this point on, Mortis has a violent grudge against crocodiles and anything linked to them. Regicide then infuriates him by leading Franz Ransom straight to him. He barely escapes with his life, but managing to figure out what his former friend has done, Mortis decides to exact his revenge. Unfortunately, two other men (Jayden Slander and Garnet Dorado) also go after Regicide, and get in his way. He meets Garnet again shortly after when they once again go after the same target, however, this time, Mortis shares the information he has learned about the target and the two formulate a plan. From this point on, they work as partners staging elaborate murders until the war against Mevolent starts up. Mortis sees this as a golden opportunity to kill and strategise without getting in trouble for it, and despite his wild and violent nature, he fits right in. During a strategy meeting, he is reunited with Jayden Slander, and accidentally blurts that he thinks he is attractive. The two start flirting and eventually become a couple. When cars become a thing, Mortis learns to drive with ease, but is one day involved in a collision that causes his vehicle to roll. He is badly injured and found by Dorado and Ricky Sloth, who heal him. He introduces the two of them to Jayden, keeping it a secret that they are a couple until the two find out for themselves. Thankfully, there is little friction despite the time. He is both annoyed and flattered by Garnet's fussing over his health. He is bitterly upset when Garnet falls ill, even threatening Ricky when the healer states he is unable to help him. Mortis continues to stage murders with the assistance of Jayden and Ricky, however, when their target starts a fire to separate them, Mortis believes Ricky to have been killed.
Past places of residence: None known
History of family: Unknown

Relationships

Parents: Little is known about them, though they don't appear to be the brightest of people.
Siblings: He has a twin sister named Felicity Insouciant. He despises her without reservation. She's dead now. He still hates her.
Any enemies (and why): Zebulon Regicide, for ruining his plans and intentionally putting him in mortal danger. Felicity Insouciant, as someone who simply always grated on his nerves. Franz Ransom, who essentially wants to kill him or at least torture the hell out of him for stealing his most precious possession and 'tainting' it with death magic. Dexter Vex, for unknown reasons, he and Garnet tried to kill him but failed and were forced to retreat in disgrace. Pretty much anyone to have ever followed Mevolent. Faeris Wile (briefly)
Children: None.
Friends: Zebulon Regicide (formerly), Aleron Hadrian, a necromancer who trained him. Jayden Slander, Garnet Dorado and Ricky Sloth.
Best friend(s): Most definitely Garnet Dorado. Garnet is the most professional killer he has worked with and the one he gets on best with, as Garnet makes no attempt to hold him back (unlike Jayden and Ricky, who are all 'kill less guys', which annoys him to no end).
Important friends/relatives (explain): I suppose Felicity for introducing him to magic. Maybe Ricky for saving his life and Aleron for tutoring him.
Love interest (if there is one): Jayden Slander

Combat

Peaceful or violent: Violent
Weapon (if applicable): A wide array of assorted knives, blades, etc. Also shadows, since because Necromancy.
Style of fighting: Despite his aptitude for strategising and planning, Mortis is very much a stab first think later kind of guy. He will stroll in and plunge his knife in, but never in a fatal place. No, Mortis likes to draw out his victim's agony as long as possible. He rarely spreads masses of gore, and the main time he has done this after learning how to kill without doing so has been immediately after a major traumatising event.

Others

Occupation: Unemployed, serial killer.
Favourite types of food: Pizza and ice cream
Favourite types of drink: Probably something with ice in.
Hobbies/past times: Killing people and torturing them to death, playing his tuba, listening to music.
Pet peeves: Touchy-feely people, people who try to preach when they aren't much better
Pets: None
Talents: Strategising, killing people, playing music, squeezing through tight spaces
Favourite colours: Possibly black.
Favourite type of music: I have no idea. It is stated that his favourite song is 'I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles', the 1919 version or Beasts by Slow Moving Millie (two separate occasions where the favourite has changed over time)

Skin colour: White
Shape of face: Who cares? It's obscured by his beard anyway.

Personality

Likes: Sail boats, travelling, heavy metal music, warm places, summer, silver and pretty patterns, muffins, cop shows, hedgehogs, romance movies

Personal goals: He's not entirely sure what he wants out of life. He at least wishes to see the Death Bringer come to be. He doesn't.
General attitude: Austin is a laid back and easy going person. He's quite content to just drift through life aimlessly, considering he doesn't have a particular aim in mind, but he's also quite curious and quite good at finding out and passing on information.

General intelligence: Average, I suppose.
General sociability: Average.

Sleeping habits: Depends on where he's crashing, really.
Energy level: Mid-low
Eating habits: Eats healthily when able I suppose.

History

Birth country: England
Hometown: London, possibly
Childhood: Austin was born as the third child of a pair of necromancers. He and his sisters were trained in the Necromancy temple and raised with the necromancy thing. There is little of note in Austin's childhood other than what I've already said, though his father left the family when he was young.
Teen years: At some point, Austin starts using a trench coat as his object of power. In his teen years, he meets best friend Awesome Dude, and they start travelling here and there. He hits the surge at age 17. Austin begins to distance himself from the temple for unknown reasons. Austin has a string of unsuccessful romantic relationships.
Adult years: In Ireland, Austin befriends Solomon Wreath (or at least he feels they're friends idk) but for the most part just travels, meets girls, fails to build a working relationship with girls and sleeps on the streets wherever he may drop. His sister gets a job with the French Sanctuary, giving him a few odd excuses to travel all the way up to France to see her. While in France, at a bar, he overhears some mortals talking about a job well done. He manages to get them to open up about it to him and discovers they had killed targets that 'bled light', and realises they had been hired by a man they could not remember to kill warlocks. He feeds back this information to the Necromancer temple in Ireland. During the events of The Faceless Ones, Solomon Wreath requests Austin's assistance in stopping the Faceless Ones from returning. By this point, according to the book, Austin's object of power is a flintlock pistol, likely meaning his coat was destroyed somehow. He is killed in the battle of Aranmore Farm. During his adult years, he has a bit more luck with making relationships last for longer than a year.
Past places of residence: Irish Necromancer Temple, possibly
History of family: It is known his parents were both English Necromancers.

Relationships

Parents: Necromancers. He is not especially close to them. His father's taken name was Arthritis Dank.
Siblings: He has two older sisters. Cadence Nightwish and Belinda Diamond. At the time of his death, Austin and Belinda are in the midst of a feud, and his relationship with Cadence is more amicable but still slightly tense.
Any enemies (and why): I suppose Batu's gang in The Faceless Ones, the group he fights against when he dies. He has lived 90 long years and has made a fair few enemies in the past. Erskine Ravel, The Torment and 'Department X'. Briefly, Gale Blaze when the man in question starts sleeping with Katherine (Austin's girlfriend at the time).
Children: None known, though it is suggested that Daemon was pregnant when he died.
Friends: He is friends with Awesome Dude, Gale Blaze, Lilia White and Solomon Wreath.
Best friend(s): Awesome Dude, most likely. (The character was named by my brother.)
Important friends/relatives (explain): None specifically come to mind.
Love interest (if there is one): Katherine Burn (Formerly), Daemon Scaroe (Character belongs to a friend)

Combat

Peaceful or violent: Violent
Weapon (if applicable): Shadows bonded to a coat or flintlock pistol
Style of fighting: He generally attacks people with said shadows. The method in which the shadows attack or move depends on whether he uses the coat or pistol.

Favourite types of food: There's no type of food he especially likes or dislikes, except maybe muffins.

Pet peeves: People who think they're so good at something when they suck.
Pets: None
Talents: Pickpocketing, getting others to trust and confide in him
Favourite colours: Black and silver
Favourite type of music: Hard rock

Erin Hades Motionless

Fandom: Skulduggery Pleasant

General Information

First name: Erin
Middle name(s): Hades
Surname: Motionless (His given name is unknown)
Age: 209
Date of birth: He's not totally sure any more. Mr Twist buys him a keyring every August, so it's probably around that point. He stopped celebrating after he was bitten. (Okay, it's January 2nd according to an old journal I made years ago, but nobody around him knows that.)
Race: White Irish
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Even after all these years, he's still not quite sure. Sexuality isn't easy to pin down. It's a big ball of wibbly wobbly sexy unsexy stuff. He tries not to get involved with anyone at the moment.
Current residence: A dungeon in a large building he likens to a castle somewhere in Ireland, near Athlone. Mr Twist's house.
Relationship status: Single.
Social status: Unknown

Traits of Voice

Accent (if any): Irish, exact region unspecified.
Language spoken: English
Other languages known: Irish Gaelic, French, German, Hungarian, Polish, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and Latin. The more languages he knows, the more people he can annoy.
Style of speaking: Mr Motionless tends to speak quickly, leaving little pause for breath and often never letting others get a word in edgewise. Friends are happy to let him natter away for hours about nothing, and he will pause to listen to a good friend. He will flit from one thought to another without any perceptible link or pattern. Erin almost always speaks in a cheerful tone, sounding like he is incapable of taking things seriously. If things are especially bad, he will adopt a solemn tone to match the atmosphere. These times, he will speak in a similar manner to others, and only when he has something relevant to say.
Volume of voice: Medium-high.

Physical Appearance

Height: 6'4 (Mr Motionless is by far the tallest of his friends.)
Weight: 143 lbs (Tbh these weights are a gestimate from use of a weight-height chart. Probably not to be taken seriously.)
Eye colour: Hazel
Skin colour: Pale white
Shape of face: Face-shaped
Distinguishing features: With being rather underweight and excessively pale, Mr Motionless tends to look very ill to most outsiders.
Build of body: Scrawny
Hair colour: Platinum blond
Hair style: Neck-length and straight, some flyaway strands here and there.
Posture: Normal. He likes to lie on his back with his legs against the wall in a V shape more than he likes to stand.
Tattoos: None
Piercings: None
Typical clothing: Mr Motionless dresses smartly in the style of the time, which of course varied as times went on. In modern day, in his dungeon home, he either wears a tattered old white shirt, black pinstripe waistcoat and black trousers, or a simple white top and jeans with belt.
Is seen by others as: Annoying, hyperactive and childish. However, to his friends, Motionless is a dependable person and stupidly loyal.

Personality

Likes: Chewing popcorn, making new friends (he'll ask anyone he meets if they'll be his 'friend'), being upside down, talking, games, being praised
Dislikes: Silence, mean people, being a vampire, rats, sitting still for too long, signs with words on them, salt water
Education: Unknown. Likely poor. Never learned to read.
Fears: Mangoes, salt water (fatal to vampires from this series)
Personal goals: To make many friends to try and counteract the anger and hatred caused by his vampirism (that is, his own anger and hatred, primarily).
General attitude: He's friendly to the point of annoyance, especially to those he is meant to be keeping secrets for as he cannot keep any kind of secret, as he possesses no filter between brain and mouth. He's optimistic and innocent, seeming to never understand that he has done anything wrong.
Religious values: He is or was a member of the Church of the Faceless Ones.
General intelligence: Moderate, though some tell him it is low due to his inability to read.
General sociability: Very high.

Health

Illnesses (if any): None
Allergies (if any): Salt water, I suppose.
Sleeping habits: Erin does not sleep. Erin does not have any need for sleep. At night he is a vampire.
Energy level: Very high. He cannot sit still for more than a couple of seconds.
Eating habits: I'm pretty sure the only thing he can consume is blood. He takes what he is given, essentially, as in a way you could say he is a prisoner, what with living in a dungeon safe thing and being brought necessities by his friend, Advantageous Twist.
Memory: Excellent
Any unhealthy habits: He tends to pick his nose and put things in his mouth that he shouldn't.

History

Birth country: Ireland
Hometown: Unspecified. Erin wishes to forget as much about his origins as possible.
Childhood: Erin was born to a sorcerer couple, meaning he was exposed to the world of magic at a young age and quickly found an aptitude with it. His parents trained him in sigil-based magic, but he quickly decided he didn't enjoy the precision required to use this type of magic and that he wanted something more fun. He began to experiment with other types of magic and slowly ruled them out one by one. He didn't like Necromancy because it came with all sorts of other add-ons and his boisterous personality wasn't much appreciated there. Elemental magic, he didn't do well with.
Teen years: Erin still struggled to find his niche and became involved with a couple of other mages, specifically Darren Shadow and Myasthenia Quirk. He quickly became close friends with Shadow. Mr Shadow was the one who suggested Mr Motionless try 'leech' magic, and even found someone willing to train the little blabbermouth.
Adult years: Erin hits the surge at age 23, officially locking himself in as a Magiphage. He continues to be friends with Mr Shadow, and meets Jerry Vehemence, who takes an instant dislike to him. Erin seems unaware that Mr Vehemence dislikes him. The three begin working together and going on little mage adventures, though sometimes said mage adventures do not include all members. The team then meet Alba Hazardous and Midnight True, who start to join them on their little adventures now and then. A rift forms between Mr Shadow and Mr Motionless when they both confess they are in love with Myasthenia. Mr Motionless leaves the group upon realising Hazardous and Vehemence both want him dead, and moves away to another part of the country with Myasthenia. They become a couple, and eventually, at age 132, Motionless proposes to Quirk. Around these days, the war against Mevolent is in full swing. Motionless and Quirk fight on Mevolent's side, but Shadow and Vehemence are on the opposing side. True and Hazardous are also on Mevolent's side, meaning they are forced to work with Motionless again. Motionless is reluctant to actually fight others, but is happy to merely leech magic to make others less able to fight. At age 135, Vehemence manages to trap Motionless down a deep, wet pit, where he develops his dislike of rats. When he finally escaped, he was malnourished and weak, and was attacked by a vampire, Zeus McMooney. Aware he is now dangerous, he disappears from the lives of those close to him and goes into hiding, causing them to believe him to be dead. One evening, he attacks a sorcerer while in vampire mode, but the sorcerer defeats him and, instead of killing him, locks Erin in a large dungeon that has evidently housed vampires before. When Erin comes to the next day, the man comes and introduces himself as Advantageous Twist, a selective mute and essentially the exact opposite of Erin. They somehow manage to become close friends, as Twist finds Motionless' constant babbling to be amusing. Mr Twist introduces Mr Motionless to a friend of his, Esra Sunshine, who is a science-magic user who enjoys a little experimenting. The two offer their blood to sustain Motionless in return for Erin submitting himself to tests. Esra in turn reintroduces Motionless to his old gang (Shadow, Hazardous, True, Vehemence) and they become a group of mercenaries for hire, often doing odd jobs for those most commonly associated with the bad guys.
Past places of residence: Ireland, various
History of family: It is known he comes from a family of sorcerers who worshiped the Faceless Ones.

Relationships

Parents: His parents were sorcerers and members of the Church of the Faceless. They appear to have been users of sigil-based magic.
Siblings: None known.
Any enemies (and why): Erin has made many enemies over the years, as one might, though for the most part he refuses to acknowledge anyone as an enemy. He has acknowledged Darren Shadow as a rival and Zeus McMooney as the one person he hates, for turning him into a vampire. There is a very deep grudge there and Erin would be very, very happy to kill Zeus, despite the vampire code.
Children: When Erin disappeared, his fiancee was in fact pregnant, causing her to try and speed up their marriage to a sooner date. Erin is unaware that he is a parent.
Friends: Erin has many people he considers friends, but most of them don't like him.
Best friend(s): Advantageous Twist and Darren Shadow.
Important friends/relatives (explain): Mr Twist, who brought him back into a stable environment and lifestyle, and Mr Shadow, who led him onto the Magiphage path and introduced him to his fiancee.
Love interest (if there is one): Myasthenia Quirk (formerly), Rachel O'Connell (Twist's daughter), who fancies him, but who he tends to pointedly avoid.

Combat

Peaceful or violent: Peaceful
Weapon (if applicable): Vampirism
Style of fighting: Generally, Erin will either dodge attacks until he sees a good opening to use his excessive strength, or he is put in charge of guarding the prisoners during the daytime. According to the Skulduggery Pleasant wiki, vampires still retain magic they had before becoming infected, however, Erin no longer commonly includes his magiphage abilities in combat for unknown reasons.

Others

Occupation: Mercenary for hire
Favourite types of food: Popcorn and blood
Favourite types of drink: Blood
Hobbies/past times: Anything that keeps him active and on his feet.
Guilty pleasures: I still suck at these. If I can I will come back to these eventually.
Pet peeves: People who try and paint vampires in a romantic light.
Pets: While staying with Mr Twist, he has full access to Twist's two dogs (Andy the old english sheepdog and Bubbles the Pembroke welsh corgi) and guinea pig.
Talents: Erin is a magiphage, allowing him to temporarily drain magical power from other mages and imbue items with magical power. Vampirism grants him excessive strength and grace when moving. He can understand sigils to some extent, and is great at annoying people. He will even do so on purpose if the person is trying to propose he become part of something he doesn't want to be part of (or is Zeus). The mercs use this to drive away unwanted potential clients. When in doubt, send Hades out.
Favourite colours: Bright, pale colours.
Favourite type of music: He doesn't really have one. His tastes have varied with the times and he doesn't often have much of an opportunity to listen to anything anyway. He is strangely fond of March of the Women (a Suffragette theme).

History

Birth country: England
Hometown: Unknown
Childhood: John's mother died within hours of his birth. He was found with her body and taken to an orphanage, where he was given the name John. Little attention was paid to his development, meaning his delays were missed. He was adopted by a family who found they were unable to deal with the signs he exhibited linked to his undiagnosed autism. He was passed on to a different foster family, but the father died suddenly, causing the mother to turn to alcohol and become abusive. This caused John to run away, taking a knife from the kitchen for protection. He was attacked several times while living on the streets. When he was seven, he managed to track down his biological father, a wealthy philanthropist who had secretly been committing several counts of fraud and sexual assault. When John approached him, he realised that John could be linked to one of his sexual assaults and, promising to give the boy food and a warm bed, he led him down an alley and attempted to kill him. John fought back with his knife, and lost his eye in the process, but attracted the attention of passers by, meaning he survived while his father died. Knowing his father's surname to be St Crow, John officially took the surname as his own surname. He was passed through several other foster homes throughout his life. At age 10, he received his Hogwarts acceptance letter and was sorted into Ravenclaw. He quickly fell in with two other students with severe insecurities and they became the main bullies of their year in order to draw attention away from their insecurities.
Teen years: John befriends a girl named Penny as well as his usual group, but continues viciously bullying others. He is the most formidable of the group. At age 13, he is adopted into a pureblood family that has a 12-year-old daughter. He is very excited by the idea of having a younger sister. Despite his new sister also bullying others, again quite viciously, she is very gentle and understanding around John. At age 15, he is groomed into a sexual relationship by a Slytherin girl in his year, who subsequently cuts him off completely when she ends up pregnant. He does not understand what has happened and at first seems upset, but quickly returns to his usual self. At the beginning of Summer, the Slytherin girl gives birth but dies in the process and insists that John and his family gain custody of the child before she dies as he's the father and she doesn't trust her own parents, thus John gains a daughter. He refers to the infant as 'the first thing he has ever loved'. His daughter dies at the end of the holidays in a house fire after the brother of one of the students John bullies pulls an arson attack that starts a fire in the baby's bedroom. John is badly injured and almost killed in the process. His sister has to force him out of the burning building when he is unwilling to leave without his daughter's body. He does not return to school until three months after the beginning of 6th year due to severe depression. He refuses to speak to anyone for at least half of his 6th year, but eventually starts to speak again. In his 7th year, he appears cured of his depressive episode. However, the Langdon family is no longer able to keep him within his household. No longer being within the age limit of orphanage-dependent youths, John is to figure out a place to live by himself. He does not tell any of his friends about his situation and fails to secure a place to live, ending up on the streets again.
Adult years: John remains on the streets for a couple of years or so before being noticed by Penny. They hang out for a time before he reveals he lives on the streets (as he is greatly averse to lying and liars). She offers to let him stay with her and he accepts. Eventually, they enter into a relationship and she proposes marriage after a few years. They have six children together, the first born being a daughter who is attacked by a dog and killed, and the first son of whom has serious psychological issues that cause him to violently attack and even attempt to kill other members of his family. John and this son get into a violent fight when Ansel tries to drown one of his younger siblings. John violently rejects his eldest son and tries to kill him. Both are then sent to a high security mental hospital known as the Mason Holt hospital, where they are both treated for their individual severe psychological issues. After his daughter dies but before Ansel is born, John manages to track down his mother's brother.
Past places of residence: England, various places. Hogwarts castle.
History of family: His father was a philanthropist in outward appearance who committed many crimes behind closed doors. He was a muggle. His mother was a halfblood witch who was sexually assaulted by Michal St Crow, resulting in her pregnancy.

Any enemies (and why): Michal St Crow and the man who murdered his first daughter. The parents of the Slytherin girl (Brook D'Eaglefinn) also notably dislike him. John also has an intense hatred for Hunt Clavell, one of his Ravenclaw dorm mates. This hatred has no obvious cause, he just hated at first sight, however, since he hates him enough to get violent and threatening if Hunt comes too close, it is possible that John can tell that Hunt is dangerous and a bad person.
Children: Agnes St Crow (Deceased), Maisie St Crow (Deceased), Ansel St Crow, Aloysius St Crow, Elijah St Crow, Bartholomew St Crow, Primrose St Crow.
Friends: Eric Kessler, one of the bullies in his group and a fellow Ravenclaw. Eric's insecurity comes from his sexuality, however he outwardly appears very confident and arrogant, especially with other homosexual men. Riordan Damek, another one of the bullies and a Gryffindor student. Riordan gets visions that actively affect his day to day life, which is the cause of his insecurity.
Best friend(s): Penny Merryweather, a Hufflepuff student who tries to stop John from bullying others.

History

Birth country: England
Hometown: Epsom, Surrey
Childhood: Cyrano is the youngest of eight, and the only boy in his family. He is used to being treated as the baby of the family. He was born into a Muggle family. His mother died when he was young and he does not remember her. Despite clashing with his sisters trying to dress him up and give him makeovers and often bullying him, as elder siblings tend to, Cyrano grows up normally. At age 11 he started at Hogwarts and was later sorted into Gryffindor, where he befriended some of his dorm-mates.
Teen years: Cyrano discovered he was gay in his early teens. He came out only to his youngest sister, who warned him to be careful who he told. General fear of rejection caused him to hide his sexuality at school, actively covering it by flirting with females, giving him a bad reputation as a flirt and a womaniser. He befriends Paine (a Ravenclaw student), Seth (A Slytherin student), Nikodemus (a Slytherin), Raphael (a Hufflepuff) and Rokuro (another Slytherin). In his fifth or sixth year, Rokuro comes on to him, and Cyrano, on an impulse, accepts his advances. By which I mean the two get into a screaming match in a corridor because Cyrano keeps staring at Rokuro (because he's just his type) which somehow ends with Rokuro screaming an offer of a date which Cyrano accepts in a scream. He also later finds out that Rokuro comes from an abusive family, and he tries to help him.
Adult years: Cy and Rokuro move in with Paine and his girlfriend at the end of their 7th year, as Cyrano's father does not want Cy's boyfriend living with him beyond holiday visits. They remain in this apartment until their jobs earn them enough money to buy a place of their own, albeit a cheap apartment in a bad neighbourhood.
Past places of residence: Hogwarts castle.
History of family: His father is from Ecuador originally. Cyrano is a muggleborn wizard, so it is not massively likely you will find previous traces of magic in his lineage. His mother came from a Greek family.

Relationships

Parents: His father's name is Hiram. The two have a somewhat distant relationship, and it is somewhat strained at times, if only because of Hiram's grief over his wife's death and a mutual uncertainty on how to deal with certain issues such as having Cyrano spend the majority of the year away at a wizard boarding school. Regardless, Hiram is openly very proud of his son and is clearly fond of him, and is unhappy that he hasn't bonded as well as he could have with his youngest child.
Siblings: He has seven older sisters. Their names are Giovanna, Felicia, Willamina, Mariela, Clarabelle, Roseanne and Esperanza. He appears to be on good terms with all of them, but is closest to Willamina and Clarabelle. Giovanna is 18 years his senior and was a mother at a very young age, and as a result, Cyrano has a niece two years older than him. Sisters Felicia to Clarabelle are all married and all have at least one child. All of Cyrano's sisters are either in their 20's or 30's.
Any enemies (and why): Rokuro's homophobic family.
Children: It is known that he wants children in future.
Friends: His friends include Raphael Kenelm, Seth Hawthorne, Paine De La Coste, Tape-Recorder Jones and Nikodemus Bradshaw-Glyn.
Best friend(s): His best friends are Tay Jones, Raph and Paine.
Important friends/relatives (explain): None specifically come to mind.
Love interest (if there is one): Rokuro Salinger.
