Childhood: Hayden's mother died when he was very young, young enough that he cannot remember her. Since then he's been raised by just his father. He was put into swimming classes at a young age, as well as mixed martial arts, and often taken to an activity centre/daycare double when his father had to work. His father also liked taking Hayden camping and teaching him survival skills. Hayden found himself to be fairly good at sports but most comfortable in the water. He was known to be fairly popular. From a young age, he would watch sports and especially mass scale competitions such as the Olympics on TV and the internet. He tended to idolise professional athletes.
Teen years: Though he is an active person overall, high levels of fatigue began to set in, at this point caused by the vitamin deficiency, the effects of which caused him to get a reputation as a lazy and unreliable person. It was around this time that he developed his mother hen type attitude or at the very least started to strongly display it. Hayden took part in school sports clubs and remained fairly popular despite the poorer parts of his rep. He had little idea what he wanted to do with his future and primarily decided to just play to his strengths and see what he could manage. His father tried to lead him down a specific career path, but with little success, as said career path required Hayden to be skilled with school subjects he simply couldn't get his head around. Upon realising his chronic fatigue was likely caused by a medical problem, Hayden tried to bring it up with his father, only to be brushed off. At some point, he decided to follow his idols and become an athlete, or at least try to. His father helped him find a swimming coach that might be able to help him on the appropriate path. After taking part in school competitions, Hayden was offered a sports scholarship at the same university Rin Matsuoka attended.
Adult years: Hayden attends the aforementioned university and befriends Rin, Ezra and Alison. When, in the piece Hayden was created for, he and Alison lose contact with both Rin and Ezra, Hayden tries and fails to contact Rin again, and tries (and fails) to prevent Alison from jumping to conclusions. He appears in a (currently unfinished) story where he is one of the two of Rin's Australian friends that meet Haru when Rin and Haru visit Australia a few years later. He spends most of this time keeping Alison under control. Hayden is not seen in any piece I have planned beyond this. However, as an adult, he does manage to go see a doctor about his health complaints. He is known to be highly supportive of his friends' goals, especially Alison and Rin's drive to become Olympic swimmers, but gives up on the same goal after developing severe and chronic back pain in his 20's, the cause of which is currently unknown and which is currently not successfully managed.

Ezra began taking part in low-level dance competitions, primarily focused on couple-dance. At an unknown time, Ezra started taking part in synchronised swimming classes that his sister told him about. At some point, he ended up choosing to attend the same university as Hayden, Alison and Rin. Again, at an unknown time, during his teen years, Ezra agreed to babysit for a family friend. As a result, he's found he's not very good with small children and tends to be quite wary of upsetting them.
Adult years: Ezra meets Alison Melgar, Hayden Smith and Rin Matsuoka at university, and befriends them. Ezra only appears in the fic the three Australians were originally written for when Rin was still attending, which is at the beginning, and when Rin next sees Alison and Hayden, Ezra has left the group. This is because, during his time as a swimmer, he hit a wall and lost confidence in himself, finding himself falling behind those around him. As he was still making improvements in his dance and winning competitions, and still had confidence in his dance abilities, he chose to focus on that instead. He continues to swim recreationally. Thanks to a joke with my friend, Ezra's story ends with him going to Japan for a competition, where he meets Makoto, befriends him and eventually falls in love with him.

Towards the end of his secondary education, he was offered a sports scholarship, likely related to a competition he took part in.
Adult years: Alison attended a university in Sydney, where he met Rin, Ezra and Hayden and befriended all three. Alison showed himself to be a particularly strong swimmer, eventually reaching a level that allowed him to compete at an Olympic level. In the story in which he first appears, Alison later loses contact with Rin despite the two promising to keep in contact, and jumps to a worst case scenario type conclusion, assuming something bad has happened to Rin. A few years pass before he sees Rin again, at which point he also meets Haruka Nanase. Later, Alison takes part in Freestyle swimming events in the Olympics, and is able to win a silver medal in one event. He is understandably excited to see Rin and Haru present at the event, having competed directly against the latter in one of his events, though Alison loses to him. In a different swimming event, Alison does manage to win a silver medal.

He was not adopted, and often teased or treated cruelly due to his appearance. At age 5, he discovered his clan had the ability to change minor aspects of their appearance, as well as hair and eye colour. From this point until his defeat at the hands of Gaara, he is never seen with white hair and red eyes. He joins the shinobi academy and appeared to be a bit of a prodigy, passing his chunin exams at age 8. The other members of his 3 man cell despised him, and during the exam (as well as on several other occasions) easily abandoned him to danger. In a panic, he accidentally activated and discovered his clan's ability of absorbing chakra and life force, killing his attackers in the process and terrifying himself and his team mates. Shortly after this, he ran away from the village. He began searching for somewhere he belonged.

Adult years: At age 19, he enters Sunagakure, drawn there by powerful chakra, and targets Matsuri on a whim, drawing the attention of Gaara, who suspects something is up. Whether you ship Gaamatsu or not, as Matsuri is his student and someone he cares for, as well as one of his villagers to begin with, Gaara defends her when Asatsuyu finally attacks her, and the two fight, though Asatsuyu primarily dislikes causing physical pain and instead prefers to use psychological warfare. He is injured, but ultimately manages to escape, but falls unconscious, where he is found by a trio of Kumogakure shinobi. They take him in and help nurse him back to health, after which he returns to Kumo with them. One of them, Murasakiiro, tells him his hatred of his appearance is unfounded and that he is attractive in default, making him latch onto her as a first friend. Despite thinking of Kumo as the best place he's ever been and making friends there, he is reluctant to settle there, but after a while does so, and marries Murasakiiro. They have a daughter, however, shortly after she is born, the group that slaughtered Asatsuyu's clan tracks him down (having been alerted to his existence by his flirty adventures) and attempts to kill him, failing but killing Mura instead. He escapes with his daughter and begins traveling, certain he was being trailed, though this is never confirmed nor denied. He briefly joins a group of bandits, however the group does not last long, especially not with a screaming infant among them. Five years later, he is approached by a young man named Eien, who offers him a safe place and protection in return for becoming a shinobi under his employ. He agrees, however two years after, his daughter is used as a body double for someone Eien planned to capture (as she too has the clan transformation abilities). On this mission, the young girl is killed, and Asatsuyu attempts to kill Eien in revenge, having been forced to allow the girl on the mission. He is defeated and pinned to a wall, held there as a sort of trophy thing until he is freed and subsequently dies of his injuries.

He might not be aware of this himself, but his changes are almost always mimicking another person's colourations and facial markings that he's seen.
