When nervous, Ezra will do his best to hide it, not wanting to bother others, but his nervous energy is often let out quite explosively when he messes up and has to apologise - this often results in frantic and repeated apologies.

Childhood: Ezra had a fairly average childhood. His parents seemed normal to him, though his father was much stricter than his mother. His mother taught dance classes, and he and his siblings occasionally had to sit in on them when there was no-one at home to look after them. This is part of what got Ezra into dance. He tended to be teased by others in his childhood, including his siblings. He was also greatly interested in sports and enjoyed watching competitions. He has been part of swimming classes for as long as he can remember.
Teen years: Ezra started actively taking dance classes, able to use what he had learnt from his mother to his advantage. He continued with swimming classes, which, after a certain stage, became focused on competitive swimming. He fixed himself into the goal of competing on a worldwide scale, mostly with swimming as he was concerned about how others viewed him. His family sent him to specialised swimming training. He attended the same secondary school as Rin, and attempted to befriend him. He was not necessarily successful. It is partly due to Rin's poor English when they met that Ezra wished to learn Japanese, if anything to make things easier for him. Ezra began taking part in low-level dance competitions, primarily focused on couple-dance. At an unknown time, Ezra started taking part in synchronised swimming classes that his sister told him about. At some point, he ended up choosing to attend the same university as Hayden, Alison and Rin. Again, at an unknown time, during his teen years, Ezra agreed to babysit for a family friend. As a result, he's found he's not very good with small children and tends to be quite wary of upsetting them.
Adult years: Ezra meets Alison Melgar, Hayden Smith and Rin Matsuoka at university, and befriends them. Ezra only appears in the fic the three Australians were originally written for when Rin was still attending, which is at the beginning, and when Rin next sees Alison and Hayden, Ezra has left the group. This is because, during his time as a swimmer, he hit a wall and lost confidence in himself, finding himself falling behind those around him. As he was still making improvements in his dance and winning competitions, and still had confidence in his dance abilities, he chose to focus on that instead. He continues to swim recreationally. Thanks to a joke with my friend, Ezra's story ends with him going to Japan for a competition, where he meets Makoto, befriends him and eventually falls in love with him.

Siblings: Ezra had three elder siblings. Taelyn, Langdon and Cristian all tended to tease him, but their relationship is still amicable.

Friends: Alison Melgar, Hayden Smith and the main 5 characters from Free! are all people Ezra considers friends. He currently doesn't have any known friends outside of characters that existed before he did.

Love interest (if there is one): A friend of mine ended up using Ezra in a jokey reply when we were talking about how Makoto totally deserves a happy ending (We both ship both RinHaru and MakoHaru but we favour the former and neither of us ship any other ships involving Makoto) and somehow that has resulted in a running joke where Ezra and Makoto somehow become a thing, but otherwise there is no set love interest. This is, however, the only reason Ezra is set as homosexual.
