Childhood: Rokuro was the first of 9 children, though he was born a twin. He was raised in a strongly religious household by a frankly somewhat psychotic father. Leading up to the cause of his claustrophobia, he has distinct memories of being locked in a closet in lieu of an actual punishment or time out. He was additionally raised with strong Japanese and Korean influences since because parents and yeah. (It's early morning when I'm writing this I'm tired don't kill me). Both his parents were pureblood puritan types, and after a while Rokuro frankly just went along with whatever they said. He did not get along with his twin sister, as she tended to rat him out whenever he did the slightest thing wrong, and seemed to genuinely believe the things their parents said. At age 11 or so, he was accepted into Hogwarts and sorted into Slytherin.
Teen years: Rokuro became friends with Seth Hawthorne and Nikodemus Bradshaw-Glyn, two boys with whom he shared his dormitory. Generally he put others off befriending him due to his harsh attitude, foul temper and otherwise acting innocent and like he's the victim. He engaged in attention-seeking behaviours, such as faking trips to garner sympathy (which made him appear clumsy) due to a psychological need for positive attention he was not receiving at home. In his 4th year, he came out to his friends as gay and begged them not to tell anyone, as if his sister found out, his home situation would likely become worse. Inevitably, she did find out and his home situation became much worse as his parents' abuse worsened in equal measure. He stopped fishing for sympathy at school, instead choosing to shrink away from the limelight and hide himself away, becoming mostly reclusive but for Nik and Seth's insistence he do things with them. Around this time, others were happy to leave him alone as his anger issues also got much worse. In 6th or 7th year, he managed to gather the courage to ask a male Gryffindor student on a date (very loudly in a corridor in the middle of an argument when the Gryffindor accidentally admitted he fancied him). It is known Rokuro complained several times of abuse, but was not believed.
Adult years: At the end of their 7th year, Rokuro and Cyrano stay in a flat owned by friends Paine De La Coste and Tape-Recorder Jones. When they have enough money, they move into a grotty little flat in a bad neighbourhood.

History of family: His father is descended from both a Japanese and British pureblood line. His mother is from a Korean pureblood line. Both are devout Catholics, however his father notably has some issues. He is the abusive one, while his mother just sits by and lets it happen because damn, she's not getting involved.

Relationships

Parents: His parents are called Xanthus Salinger and Gi Uk Park. From age 18 onwards, he happily cuts them both out of his life forever because frankly he wishes they would both die horribly.
Siblings: Annette, his twin (her name at birth is Kyeongsuk, but she despises that name. Annette is either a middle name or a preferred name she plucked out of the air), tends to have a significantly bad relationship with him. As young children, she tended to follow him around almost obsessively and claimed to adore him. When they were 17, she stopped being cruel to him, primarily because she herself ended up on their parents' bad side. He has 7 other siblings, and only gets along with two of them. Shizuka, Natsumi, Doki, Nabi, Aki, Shota and Young. Doki and Nabi are the two he gets on with.
Any enemies (and why): Possibly his parents and sister. He doesn't have any specific enemies in other students at Hogwarts at this stage.

Friends: Seth Hawthorne and Nik Bradshaw-Glyn. Possibly Raphael Kenelm, but Raph is more Cyrano's friend.
