Childhood: Vincent met Seth because his father was friends with Seth's mother. The two attended a Sunday school that taught a mixed age-group class, and he found it easy to make friends both there and at his elementary school when he began there.
Teen years: Vincent attended a different secondary school to Seth, but the same one as quite a few of his friends of his own age. His cheerful and relaxing attitude helped him make friends, and he took an active interest in the school's sports clubs. At some point, he developed unspecified problems with his throat, and at age 14, after complications during surgery, Vincent lost his ability to speak. During his recovery from surgery, Vincent learnt sign language to communicate, and his family and Seth learnt with him to make things easier for him. Vincent's parents wanted to move him out of his current school and into a specialist school, but Vincent objected.
Adult years: At 18, Vincent was convinced by Seth to accompany him to answer an online advert looking for a bass guitarist and a drummer for their band, partially because Seth was worried it might be sketchy. Here they met Mal Morrow and Yesenia Greaves, who ultimately decided to have Seth and Vincent be part of their band.

Relationships

Parents: Randall and Magdalene Hawke. He has a very good relationship with them and they are all very close. Overall, Vincent is from a very affectionate and gentle family.
Siblings: Vincent has a younger brother named Jericho. The two get on well, and Vincent tends  to tease and mess  with Jericho as much as possible

Children: None yet. He definitely plans to have some in future, most likely in his thirties. Or when the band splits. Whatever comes first.
Friends: Mal Morrow, Seth Moon and Yesenia Greaves. As well as them, Vincent finds it easy to befriend others and has a fairly wide circle of friends.
Best friend(s): Most likely Seth, who has been his friend since they were both little.
